Baby Bump!

Since it has been MORE than a year since I last updated this... I am going to catch you up VERY quickly...

I have been a Resident Director at California Baptist University in Riverside, California for the past two years. It has been an amazing experience and definitely challenged and grew me in ways that I didn't expect and hadn't realized I needed to grow in.

Here are my two wonderful staffs from my first and second year of being an RD...

My first staff in UP Women:
Back from left to right: Lauren Wargo, Sheri Baxter, Danielle Phillips
Front from Left to right: Shantal Haboud, Chanel Davis, Me, Marianna Vazquez, Kristina Logan, Lisette Nichols and Becca Shoup

My second and last year's staff in UP Women:
Left to right: Beth Dunckel, Jen Smith, Kristina Logan, Amey Fenwick, Me, Amy Fossett, Vanessa Key, Kelsie Markoski, Noelle Houck

In December 2013 we were thrilled to find out we were expecting a new addition to the Logan family and that precious little life would be here in August 2014!  As we tried to figure out what our lives would look like and how to make the transition, we knew we didn't want to be apart from each other, and since Ben travels for his job, we knew that one of us would have to change careers. After a lot of praying and talking through it, we decided to go out on the road again for Ben's job... only this time it would be slightly different.

Within the past 2 months we have purchased a fifth wheel trailer, a new truck to pull the trailer, got our Class A license, sold our car, and have been working quite a bit on getting this fifth wheel ready... Ready for what you ask??... To be our new home:)

In May of this year I will officially be done at California Baptist University and will start the exciting journey back on the road with my husband! I couldn't be more excited:) The thought that not having to say goodbye to him anymore and not having to live with a reality of him leaving at any point and me not knowing when he will be back is the best feeling ever! I married an incredible man, of course it's NEVER fun being away from him or having to say goodbye to him, I want to spend as much time with him as I can!:)

The big downside is we will miss the community we have built here at CBU. We have been welcomed by some wonderful friends and we have made some lifelong friendships that will be so tough to leave behind... we have just promised ourselves and those friends that we will come back to visit and since Ben has family close by that will make it very easy!

I will post pictures of our new home in upcoming blogs... but since many people have been asking to see this little baby, I figured I would post a few pictures of my GROWING belly:) Proof that there is a little life inside of me... such an amazing feeling:)

Other news about the baby:

We don't know if it is a boy or girl... we are planning on waiting to be surprised until our precious little one is born:)

About 3 weeks ago I began to feel one of the most amazing feelings I have ever felt, the baby is big enough for me to feel it's sweet little kicks! Often I will find myself stopping whatever I am doing, putting my hands on my stomach and just awkwardly holding my belly while feeling it kick. (I usually try to do it when I'm alone:)....)

I haven't had any strange cravings other than french fries and chips and salsa... Mostly just loving salty foods!  Which is opposite from normal, typically I'm much more of a sweets person! And nothing makes me sick yet, so that's nice... I'm thankful:)

I think that's about it for now! I will try to post pictures of our new home soon! :)
