Jedidiah... 2 Months!

It would seem that with Ben working and me at home with Jedidiah and Sadie all day, that I would easily find time to keep up better with the blog... but I easily find my day going by very quickly with those two little ones! It's a good thing they are a lot of fun and very cute!

As of right now we are still in South Dakota. We made a quick trip down to Texas last week and it was quite the whirlwind! We left on Sunday evening around 9pm, drove that night until around 1am, and all day the next day and got to our hotel in Texas on Monday night around 11pm! I am going to be working a bit from home doing some file reviewing for the same company that Ben works for, so we went down there for the 2 days of training. As soon as the training was over on Wednesday we headed back up to South Dakota; Ben had to be back to work by Friday. We left Sadie with my sister Brianna and my parents for a couple of days and just took Jedidiah. THANKFULLY Jed loves his car seat! We are so so so grateful, otherwise it would have been a very difficult trip. Really the only time he would cry would be because he was hungry, we would feed him with a bottle and continue going.

All that to say... Jedidiah has been a very good baby and has made transitioning into parenthood a joyful and easy experience for us, and we are so grateful!

Since we are away from all of our friends and family, I wanted to give you a little update on Jed at 2 months and the things that have changed and progressed.

First of all, he now enjoys his bath:) It was the cutest thing the first time he liked it, he just got so relaxed like he was sitting in a spa... it was a much more enjoyable experience for EVERYONE involved:)

He had his first time eating from a bottle, and he did it extremely well. It was fun to watch Ben being able to feed him as well, Jed and daddy had some bonding time together:)

He started to give the world's best smiles (at least in our small little world!)

That has FOR SURE been the best part so far...Watching him make eye contact with us, recognize us, be happy to see us and show it by giving us a huge smile! We are always asking him for more and trying to get him to give us big smiles... poor boy, he has obnoxious parents sometimes:)

He still isnt quite sure if he likes Sadie or not... but she sure does like him and LOVES to lick his face! (On a different note, Sadie has become QUITE the cuddler! She has matured a bit and instead of always being wild and crazy, she loves to come sit with us and has made herself princess of the couch... whether we are on it or not!)

He is holding his head up like a champ, he is enjoying sitting in his bumbo, and he has calf muscles that you can feel, when he's crying they flex and it's the cutest thing!

While we were staying in Texas Jed got to experience life in a hotel... he decided he loves having a king bed all to himself!:)
While in Texas, he also got to meet his second cousins and cousins once removed... or something like that, we dont know how exactly Jed is related to them, but they are family and it was so fun to see them!
Piper has 2 younger siblings and LOVES playing mommy to them, she did so well holding Jed!

One day we got to go to work with Daddy and drove to Le Mars, Iowa... the ice cream capital of the world (or so they claim...though we found out they arent the only ones to claim that...) And of course... we had to stop.

Jed is preparing for the winter with his cow hat, and let's be real... he's MOSTLY preparing for Chick Fil A day... so he can dress as a cow and get free Chick Fil A!

The progression over the last few weeks....
At 6 weeks he was 10 Lbs. 7 oz! And VERRY sleepy in this picture!

At 2 months Jed now weighs 12 Lbs! He is growing like crazy!

Jed Babbles and loves when we sing to him, he is a great eater and loves to be held! He is growing so fast and it has been so fun to watch him change and grow and have more personality, we are loving every second!!

I have tried posting videos on the blog, but it says the videos are too large, if anyone is smart with technology and has an idea of how to do this, you should let me know! :)

That's all for now!
