It was Tuesday, August 23 when they told us we were free to go; so we packed up our stuff and headed west for Malibu, California. Ben’s sister Melissa was getting married to Kyle Harris on August 28th, so we wanted to get out there to hang out and help out before the wedding. We were only able to stay a week, but it was so much fun visiting family, seeing friends, helping with the wedding and being involved in Melissa and Kyle’s BEAUTIFUL day! Everything went well and the outdoor wedding was beautiful! Melissa and Kyle looked so happy and the weather the rain held off, praise God! We got to see friends from church, camp, and loved ones that we hadn’t seen in quite a while! It was so much fun seeing the familiar faces and the day went way too fast! There was not nearly enough time to just soak in the time with people and enjoy being with so many loving family and friends. That’s the tough thing about weddings, SO many people come from all over the place and you want to see them all and talk with them all. But unfortunately, the day goes so fast and by the end of it you realize that you hardly got to take the time to just be with the people that came to celebrate! But either way, the wedding day was great and the whole week leading up to it was so much fun with all the anticipation and excitement of such a fun day.

While we were preparing for the wedding we stayed with some family friends of the Logans. The Milsap family is a wonderful family with six children and a really fun house. We stayed at their house the week leading up to the wedding because it was closer to the wedding site then the Logans’ house was. The Milsap’s welcomed us into their home and just blessed us with their servants hearts and hospitality! We could not believe how wonderful their family was! Mr. Milcap made the best food I have had in a while! Every night he created something new and delicious. We were always looking forward to coming home for the evening and enjoying a home cooked meal, fellowship and family.
