Next stop: Cheyenne, Wyoming

Once we left Custer State Park our next stop was Laramie, Wyoming! Once we arrived we soon found out that there really isn’t much to do in Wyoming. It just so happened that at the time we arrived, they were preparing for their biggest event, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. It is a week long rodeo/fair that happens every year around the same time and holds all sorts of different activities and entertainment. It apparently doubles the size of Cheyenne! So as we sought to find hotels around the area of work, we found no availability and the ones that were available had hiked their prices WAY up! So we ended up staying about 45 minutes outside of Cheyenne, in a small town called Laramie.
We enjoyed Laramie and found ways to entertain ourselves on the 45 minute drive there and back each day. Since Frontier days was going on we had to participate in this huge Cheyenne event. We went to a rodeo one night after work, which was a lot of fun! And they had a free pancake breakfast on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of that week; so we went to one of those in the morning as well. They feed thousands of people in just a few hours and the line only took about 10 minutes! It was pretty amazing. They had the system down to a T and we were in and out of there in no time.
The Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfast!

They stack your pancakes high and load the syrup on for you! I drank about 1 gallon of syrup that morning.

The cooks would make the pancakes and flip them up in the air behind them for the people in back to catch on trays.

The rodeo! The pictures didnt turn out very well, but we saw dozens of bull riders competing that night.
